Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area: GA
Once an essential corridor for transportation and power generation, 48 miles of the Chattahoochee River is now preserved as a national recreation area and America’s first National Water Trail, providing a well-deserved respite from the bustling metropolis of nearby Atlanta. Recreation opportunities include 60 miles of hiking trails and 18 developed river access areas for birdwatching, fishing, kayaking, rafting, tubing, and picnicking. Park visitors enjoy opportunities to learn about the river’s contributions to Atlanta’s development, as several historic mills are located along the Chattahoochee. Available as a poster, framed print, notecard, postcard, metal sign, or canvas, this original national park art would look great on any wall. For a full list of national park sites in all 50 states, check out the official website for the National Park Service.
